Part-Time Days/Weekend Cashier
Purpose: To check out customer purchases and otherwise assist customers. Provide prompt, courteous customer service and meet objectives for accuracy.
Status: Reports to the Front End Manager or Lead Cashier.
Essential Functions:
- Provide friendly, welcoming, courteous, and prompt customer service
- Ringing Accuracy and Efficiency
- Assist other departments as assigned in non-cashiering tasks when needed without interfering with customer service at the checkout.
- Maintain Front End area in clean orderly condition.
- Attend and participate in department meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Front End Manager, Lead Cashier and Store Manager.
Education and/or Experience:
- Minimum educational requirement is a high school education.
- Should be computer literate.
- Must possess the math skills necessary to tender change and be able to readily balance cash receipts or troubleshoot errors or discrepancies in cash or column balances.

- Standing and walking for extended periods of time, up to 8-10 hours

Part-Time Front-End Lead
Purpose: To ensure prompt, courteous customer service and front end operations. Provide accurate and secure cash handling, training, motivation, and direction to Front End staff.
Status: Reports to the Front End Manager and Store Manager. Supervises cashiers and customer service counter.
Essential Functions:
- Ensure that cashiers are trained in all areas including job functions, product knowledge, communication skills, and customer service.
- Department Operations and Maintenance
- Account for and process all money that passes through the register, safe, and cash drawer.
- Ensure accuracy and efficiency of all transactions rung through the register.
- Reconcile daily reports with cash and make regular bank deposits.
- Keep cash drawer stocked with change and get change from bank as needed.
- Establish and ensure maintenance of opening and closing procedures for cashiers and storekeepers.
- Run daily and timely reports as requested by Store Manager.
- Maintain registers and scales.
- Ensure that department area is in clean, orderly condition, meeting Health Department standards.
- Maintain department equipment in working order. Advise Department Manager or Store Manager of concerns.
- Establish tasks for cashiers when there are no customers to serve.
- Provide a high level of customer service and communication with all customers.
- Be familiar with proper equipment operations relative to the department.
- Perform other duties as required.
